Our Fortune 500 Fintech client is seeking a Project Manager who specializes in Mergers and Acquisitions
Are you a highly organized Project Manager with a proven track record of driving integration projects? Our client is looking for a skilled professional to lead integration activities for a major acquisition. This role requires a detail-oriented leader who can engage with senior executives, drive deadlines, and deliver high-quality project plans and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead integration activities associated with the Discover acquisition, supporting Credit Review functions.
- Develop detailed project plans, track dependencies, and manage integration workflows.
- Drive weekly status reports, set agendas, and coordinate with the Integration Office (IMO).
- Facilitate conversations with professionals from Capital One and Discover, including senior executives (Director level and above).
- Create polished decks, slides, and spreadsheets to communicate project updates and integration plans.
- Ensure seamless change management, identifying and documenting integration-related changes.
- Provide status reporting and manage cadence for reacquisition and post-acquisition tasks.
- Identify and track dependencies to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Qualifications
- Integration experience is a MUST – particularly with complex M&A projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating decks, slides, and spreadsheets using Google Sheets and Docs.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a strong background in financial services preferred.
- Ability to manage workflows, drive conversations, and deliver results with limited information.
- Strong experience working in a highly regulated environment, ideally within credit review or 3rd line of defense functions.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience at Capital One is a significant advantage.
